Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you participate in any interactive features of the Service, fill out a form, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect include your age, telephone number, email address, whether you are a male or female and any other information you choose to provide.
Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Service
When you access or use our Service, we automatically collect information about you, including:
Log Information: We log information about your use of the Service, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed and your IP address.
Mobile Device Information: We collect information about the mobile device you use to access our Service, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers and mobile network information. –
Beddit Device Information: The Beddit Device automatically tracks your sleeping patterns, heart rate, breathing, snoring, movements and the ambient noise level of your sleeping environment.
Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: We use various technologies to collect information, and this may include sending cookies to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve our Service and your experience. We may also collect information using web beacons (also known as tracking pixels). Web beacons are electronic images that may be used in our Service or emails and help deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness and determine whether an email has been opened and acted upon. We may use information about you for various purposes, including to:
Provide, maintain and improve our Service; Provide and deliver the Service you request, process transactions and send you related information, including confirmations; Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages; Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service; Communicate with you about products, services, offers, promotions, rewards and events offered by Beddit and others, and provide news and information we think will be of interest to you; Monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our Service; Personalize and improve the Service and provide advertisements, content or features that match user profiles or interests; Link or combine with information we get from others to help understand your needs and provide you with better Service; and Carry out any other purpose for which the information was collected. The information we collect is governed by U.S. law. By accessing or using the Service or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S. and other countries.
With vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf; In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with any applicable law, regulation or legal process, or as otherwise required by any applicable law, rule or regulation; If we believe your actions are inconsistent with the spirit or language of our application term or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Beddit or others; In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Beddit assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another Beddit; and With your consent or at your direction, including if we notify you through our Service that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Using Apple Health with Beddit’s mobile application is completely optional and decided solely by the user. It is completely up to the user to choose which compatible data points they share to Apple Health from the Beddit iOS mobile application. In this case, Beddit’s iOS mobile application feeds sleep related data points selected by the user (e.g. Sleep Analysis, Heart Rate and Respiratory Rate) into Apple Health.
The user can also choose to share select data points from Apple Health to the Beddit mobile application on iOS. This is also completely optional for the user. In this case, the data from Apple Health is used to input parameters about the user (currently gender, day of birth, height and weight) into the Beddit iOS mobile application.
Opting out from sharing data from or to the Apple HealthKit API from or to the Beddit iOS mobile application does not interfere with the functionality of the Beddit mobile application on the iOS-platform.
Beddit follows and complies with Apple Inc’s Developer and other relevant guidelines. For example, Apps may not use or disclose to third parties user data gathered from the HealthKit API or from health-related human subject research for advertising or other use-based data mining purposes other than improving health, or for the purpose of health research.
The Service may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook Like button), which let you share actions you take on our Service with other media, and vice versa. The use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing in connection with social sharing features, please visit the privacy policies of the entities that provide these features.
Beddit takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Even so, we cannot guarantee that information about you is always secure because data security measures in use from time to time may be vulnerable. Consequently, please be mindful of the risks that information about you may be exposed to when you use the Service.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not intend to collect personal data from children under 13.
Account Information You may update, correct or delete information about you at any time by logging into your online account. If you wish to delete your account, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may also retain cached or archived copies of information about you for a certain period of time.
Cookies: Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Removing or rejecting browser cookies does not necessarily affect third party flash cookies used in connection with our Service. Promotional Communications: You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from Beddit by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.
International Transfers of Information: Some elements of the Service may be hosted on servers located in countries outside your own home country. The laws applicable to the protection of information about you in such countries may be different from those applicable in your home country. By registering with the Service, you consent to information about you being transferred outside your home country.
Your California Privacy Rights: California law permits residents of California to request certain details about how their information is shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please contact us at email@example.com. However, please note that under the law, Service such as ours that permit California residents to opt in to, or opt out of, this type of sharing are not required to provide such information upon receiving a request, but rather may respond by notifying the user of his or her right to prevent the disclosure.
