Learn more about sleep results in the Beddit app

Week Overview

Displayed at the top of the Results tab is a weekly at-a-glance view showing progress toward your sleep time and bedtime goals. The bed icon is green for every night you get into bed before your bedtime goal. Close the blue ring by meeting or exceeding your sleep time goal. If no measurements are recorded, the ring and bed icons will be dark.

In Bed

This is your bedtime — the time you get into bed to sleep. You can adjust your goal under Bedtime Goal in the Settings tab of the Beddit app, and you can view this time for each night under In Bed in the Results tab. Like the week overview, the bed icon is bright green if you meet or exceed your sleep time goal. If you get into and then out of bed before falling asleep, the time you first got in bed will not be marked under In Bed or be considered toward meeting your bedtime goal.

Asleep

This is your sleep time — the hours and minutes, that you spend asleep at night. You can adjust your goal under Sleep Time Goal in the Settings tab of the Beddit app, and you can view this time for each night under Asleep on the Results tab. Time awake in bed doesn’t count toward sleep time.

Sleep Chart

This chart at the top of the Sleep Analysis section of the Results tab provides an at-a-glance view of what your night looked like. It shows you when you go to bed, when you leave the bed, and when you are asleep in bed. The sleep graph shows awake periods that are two minutes or longer only. If you’ve turned on snoring detection, the sleep chart also shows the times when you snore.

Time to Fall Asleep

Also called “sleep onset,” this is the amount of time between getting in bed, or bedtime, and falling asleep.

Time Awake

This is the total number of minutes that you’re awake during the night, after you get into bed and fall asleep initially.

Time Snoring

If you’ve turned on snoring detection, this is the total amount of time that the Beddit app detects snoring during sleep. The snoring detection feature uses the microphones on your iPhone. Snoring detection requires you to grant microphone access to Beddit Sleep Monitor (Model 3.5) on your iPhone. The Beddit app marks fluctuations in noise level but doesn’t store audio (such as speech).

Time Away from Bed

This is the total number of minutes that you spend away from your bed during the night, after you get into bed and fall asleep initially.

Efficiency

Expressed as a percentage, sleep efficiency is the portion of time that you spent asleep while in bed after you get in bed to fall asleep.

Avg. Breathing Rate

Shown as breaths per minute, this is your average respiration rate while you’re asleep.

Avg. Room Temperature

This is the average temperature of the room Beddit Sleep Monitor is in while you’re asleep.

Avg. Room Humidity

This is the average humidity of the room Beddit Sleep Monitor is in while you’re asleep.

Heart Rate

The Beddit app shows your average heart rate while you’re asleep, along with the highest and lowest rates during the night.

Morning Feeling

When you wake up, you can note how you feel on a scale of 1 (Poor) to 7 (Great). If you feel refreshed and rested, give the night’s sleep a rating of 4 or higher. You can follow how you felt over time in the Trends tab.
